Are you going to share the upper with a lower or will it get its own love?

Picked up an Arsenal SAM7SF unfired locally. I’ve wanted one fire a while so I added and RS regulate 10in mlok rail and their optics mount system for a 3x24 acog with an RMR ridding piggy back.

I THINK I picked up a Savage 10SBA in 6.5CM with a 20" bull barrell for Christmas, though it has yet to show up. Original vendor (centerfireguns.com) was TERRIBLE. No phone number, never answered emails, didn't bother to tell me until last week that they were not able to get the gun and would be sending back my PMO. By that time the model was almost universally sold out (Savage stopped making that model in favor of a different one). Found it for $50 more on another site, but still under $400, which to me, is a win for a non-Axis Savage with a lot of upgrades on it

Have had a rash of shootings/stabbings within 50 miles of here lately, something like 7 or 8. I have been carrying my 40 cal sig in my Milt Sparks VM2, or my SCCY 9mm (mostly in my MAN bag). Doc has me on some pills for my back and hips and so far, so good!

Randy, Drug related? You're pretty rural but is there a population center within 50 miles?
Its a sad state of affairs when you're afraid to go to Wal-Mart.
Well, that was a bad example. I've been afraid of Wal-Mart for years. If nothing else ... from catching from exotic disease from breathing the same air as one of those purple-haired nose ring freaks that seem to live at Wal-Marts.
Its a sad state of affairs when you're afraid to go to the gas station.
Dang it! Did it again.
Hmmm ... maybe we're just in a sad state of affairs ...

I’ve been carrying my .45 Shield more lately. Things have gone crazy here too.

Oh, and I picked up a Palmetto State 9mm AK-V pistol a while back. The thing is awesome. Pics to follow once I take a couple.

Hmmm ... maybe we're just in a sad state of affairs ... Largest city population in this PART of the state is about 39K, 25 miles away. They have been having a lot of shooting activity lately so I make sure I am carrying either on my body or in my "Man Bag". I have actually unzipped the gun compartment on the bag a couple times, just in case.

I wonder why the increase in violence? It seems to happen about every Presidential election cycle. If I were prone to conspiracy theories I'd suggest there is a correlation.
However, I'm not a conspiracy theory advocate and therefore it must just be a coincidence.

My only regrets are:
1) I bought a 4.25" single stack RIA Ultra MS 10mm (8+1) earlier this summer, thinking it was a full size. Got it for a great price, and picked up a bunch of extra mags, but not sure I have a use for it (seems heavy for concealed carry and short for hunting).
Maybe I'll list the 10mm locally and see if I get any takers in the next few days. To get the rebate on the 45, I need to buy the gun by the 15th. Doesn't leave much time for dilly-dallying...
Anyone have anything bad to day about RIA? Should I cut my losses here? What ever happened to your 10MM? 10MM is a fantastic round if you have the right gun chambered in the cartridge. A 4.25" barrel seems a little short to maximum the velocity and resultant ballistic advantages. I've never owned a RIA but most of what I read on various gun forums seems positive as long as you go into the purchase understanding what you're getting. They aren't Alchemy Custom Weaponry Prime Elite 1911s, but they also don't cost $3000. If I were you I'd look to move the 4.25" 10MM for a 5" 10MM or 45ACP.
