I THINK I picked up a Savage 10SBA in 6.5CM with a 20" bull barrell for Christmas, though it has yet to show up. Original vendor (centerfireguns.com) was TERRIBLE. No phone number, never answered emails, didn't bother to tell me until last week that they were not able to get the gun and would be sending back my PMO. By that time the model was almost universally sold out (Savage stopped making that model in favor of a different one). Found it for $50 more on another site, but still under $400, which to me, is a win for a non-Axis Savage with a lot of upgrades on it If anyone is looking for an inexpensive 6.5C I know of an online retailer that has Thompson Center Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor for $269.99 + $8.99 shipping (no CC fees). Send me a private message if you want a link to the site. I've bought A LOT of guns, ammo and mags from this place over the past 20 years. I have always received what I ordered, but occasionally the gun won't be "cosmetically perfect"...but I rarely get a "perfect" gun nowadays ... regardless of the cost. I don't think they sell seconds or returns ... they just have tons of guns. I know they ordered 1,000 Steyr SSG when Steyr announced they were discontinuing the model so I think stuff is "shoveled in and shoveled out".

My next buy will be a 6.5 Ruger American. Got a scope and rings waiting for it...

The only 22 I have is a Ruger 10-22 I inherited from my Dad when he died. Oh and a Ruger MKII 22 pistol.

I've had a crazy time with my glocks. Bought a 19x a year or wo ago and LOVED it! Shot it well from the start and really enjoy the recoil impluse and feel of the gun. Got some new sights on it and put it down for awhile and struggles on and off with it. Decided to try the new Glock 45 and the same story. Put a lot a time in shooting both and shoot both reliably left. Said the heck with it last week and gave up on trigger control and just drifted the sights. Ahhh....back in love with them again! That is good shooting for me at about 7 yards...

I absolutely love my G45. I had agency mill it for an RMR and a surefire x300 hangs out under the front. Ended up throwing a threaded barrel and a PMM comp on the front. I shoot it better than any of my other glocks.

My wife had a Glock 43 and I had a hard time not pulling left with it.
As I migrate thru different designs in my collection (term used loosely) I have to relearn the trigger control and sights.
Take a striker fired, traditional DA, and SAO to the range on the same day. You’ll leave feeling like a failure.

The only Glock I've had that I actually liked was my Model 19 I bought back in '94 or early '95. And Yeah, I got rid if it.

I've tried, A LOT, to like Glocks. I've owned MANY DOZENS of them over the past 25 years. Last night I decided to sell my last five. I'm just not a fan (in spite of most other people swearing by them).
I like metal frames and good triggers.

Our "Special Forces" adoption of the Glock 19 just further fueled some of the BS I've read online about Glock's superiority to other designs.
I've had more problems from Glocks than ALL OTHER DESIGNS COMBINED. Granted, my round count between Glock adn all others is just a little in favor of "others". Having said that, I fire at least 10,000 rounds a year through handguns and Glocks DO FAIL.
Personally, any gun that has a known issue like "brass to face" or "brass to head" but isn't address by the manufacturer tells me to look elsewhere. A Beretta 92 Compact is about the same size and price as a Glock 19. I bought my first Beretta 92 back around 1992. In the 28 years between that gun and today I've owned quite a few Beretta 92 series guns and have fired A LOT (I mean A LOT) of rounds through them.
Total number of malfucntions I've had from dozens of Beretta 92 = 0 Total number of malfunctions I've had from dozens of Glocks = COUNTLESS. I've had G19s that actually flip the brass backwards in the ejection port. Total number of malfunctions I've had from dozens of Sig Sauer P Series Classics (220, 225, 226, 228, 229) = 0 ... if you discount the 3 digit serial number P229 I bought the year they released the 40SW guns. That gun was a total mess. Outside of that gun ... 0.
Lots of people have good luck with Glocks and I'm happy for them. I can't shoot them well, and have had pretty awful reliablity. I've even heard Mrgunsandgear (Mike) say he thinks M&Ps are more reliable but the Glock is probably more durable. A local store has M&P with 3 mags and night sights ... $329 Dealer New. Same thing in a Glock 19 will be closer to $600 (night sights).
Glocks are overpriced and overhyped.
