I like that design and wish I would have bought one.

Gary, the blade is similar to the Tali-Whacker.

That is what I originally thought and why I didn't buy it when offered because I had a couple of Tali-Whackers. I broke down and bought one of the Exchange...for LESS than original cost, and glad that I did. The Tali-Whacker is nowhere near the same as the Last Rites! The L/R is heavier and much more solid than the T/W.

You can tell it IS different, but I didn't realize that it was thicker. And with having a full tang it would be sturdier. Oh and GREAT catch for a less than original price!

Thanks. The Last Rites is definitely a more solid knife than the Tali-Whacker, but heavier as well. The lighter weight T/W does have its place though.

They pop up at the Exchange now and then...keep checking. The ones on eBay are usually priced a little higher.

Here's a new Emerson..called the Reliant. I've been wanting a tanto for a bit and am real pleased with this one. A lot smaller than most of my folders for a change and handle shape feels awesome in hand. Will be a tough little cuss too...

That handle almost appears translucent, or is it just the camera angle/lighting?

It's black but kinda washed out. It's very old stock...like 2010 I think...my eyesight is fading and it's hard to read

Tanto's are nice, specially for certain situations and there is no doubt they are strong. But Most of them, those that are a really abrupt angle I just don't care that much for. No those like on the CQC15 series isn't all that bad, at least not for me. Then again it may just be the recurve that makes it seem not so extreme to me. Oh well, at least they're not plastic handles.
