LOL, surprisingly the kid is doing pretty well driving so far. I have yet to fear for my life. I'm impressed how well my wife is doing considering how much new hardware she has. We are just cruising along until we can both retire.

I bet they will LOVE your wife if she ever has to fly any where.

She has a medical card. It's been a few years since she has flown though. I am willing to bet they wouldn't believe that a woman her age has that much titanium in her. She got her first new knee in her mid 30's.

I need to get a new kneecap before I retire. Or right as I retire. Recoup in retirement.

The first knee surgery my wife had wasn't too bad. She had the microsurgery on the second and She said it hurt a lot more. I believe her.

I'm surprised that the microsurgery was more painful than the regular surgery.

They have to yank on the muscle and pull it out of the way a lot more than just cutting it. She has a high pain tolerance and that surgery was the most I have ever seen her react to pain. She was a trooper through the shoulder replacement and her first knee replacement. But there were a lot of tears on the micro knee surgery. I felt super bad for her. There was nothing I could do to help her except keep bringing ice to reduce the swelling and numb it down.

That's about the way I felt when the General was getting cortisone shots near her tail-bone when she popped a couple of discs in her back. She can be tough, but that almost made ME cry with pain.

A lot of times WE can endure a lot more pain ourselves than we can endure seeing our loved ones in pain.

And I hear ya about the ark Tom.
