My son in law has started making leather sheath for a young custom knife maker. After this covid-19 business is all done I am thinking of having him make me a seax. Never owned a custom knife

Bill, make sure you plan ahead and think about how you want it A LOT before you finalize the design. If you don't you'll regret it. Not all of us are like Tom and can't get a custom knife made for each week of the year.

Randy, good that you have lost weight since leaving work. Looks like eating doughnuts does pack on the pounds!

When we were at Universal Studios last year I thought they had a large figure of Randy there; turned out to be Chief Wiggums from "The Simpsons". They are nearly identical! LOL

Not all of us are like Tom and can't get a custom knife made for each week of the year. Good idea The good thing is the guy is just starting out, but he does good work The price is around $200 to $250 for what I am looking at. I want it to look traditional, and accurate for the time period

Go all out and research the kind of handle material they had during that time period.
