The problem is, it's not always black and white. What makes a knife "cheap" to one person may make it "inexpensive" to another. Beauty (and value) is in the eye of the beholder.

..are they "lesser" ...In my opinion, NO. They are different. I like styles from other makers and just because the Busse Trinity doesn't make it, doesn't mean I won't buy it. Not every knife I own I expect to trust my life to. I keep those around where and when I need them. The others are fun to own..

Not everyone wants to drive a Mack truck all the time, or a ferrari, or a hayabusa.. many folks would commute with a gas-sipping toyota/honda/whatever.
Different knives for different missions.. i edc a Delica folder.. it does what i need every day.

I would if I could, a couple of weeks ago I put a six pack away before I realized it, just typing on the forum. Unfortunatley 99% of the people I am in contact with daily just don't get why anyone would want to have a little self sufficiency or own anything other then a safety razor and a supersoaker.
