Heads up.
Its national preparedness month. A great time to take a look at your BOB and replace items and/or switch up anything that needs fix'in.
I just went through my wife's car kit and it was in pretty rough shape. Way too much stuff and outdated inedible food. I bet I shave off 1/4 the weight of the bag.

With this thread and the emergency kit thread, I think we have all we need to build up our own personalized for our area and lifestyle disaster/bug out method. Now all I gotta do is start to work.

Oh and I found my TT 3 day assault pack! So when I'm done (if ever) I will have the following bags available for use.
TT 3 Day Assault 33 liter or 2016 cu. in. Maxped Condor II 23 liter or 1400 cu. in. Pigmy Falcon II 18 liter or 1098 cu. in. Maxped Malaga 11.47 liter or 700 cu. in. 5.11 push pack 4.45 liter or 272 cu. in. Maxped jumbo 4.45 liter or 272 cu. in. Maxped Fatboy 2.55 liter or 156 cu. in.
Maxped Proteus 5.75 liter or 351 cu. in. (Fanny pack that looks like a mechanics bag). I have it set up as a grab and go Rechargeable Weather Bag. Weather radio that has rechargeable battery and will also recharge by wind up crank handle or solar. I also have charging plug/cable, extension cord, 4 inch sheath knife, mylar blanket, gloves, flash light, area light, fire kit, water filter straw and a few other things. When we leave the house due to weather Warnings this bag goes with us.

Always good to be prepared, just don't grab the wrong bag during a hasty retreat!

I hear you. In all probability it will go like this.
Fat boy ALWAYS goes. It is my edc Man Bag, and It's like Karl Malden said "Don't Leave Home Without it"
TT Bag, loaded for a real Bug Out Falcon II transferred from vehicle to vehicle depending on what we are driving that day Condor II same as the Falcon II IF we think we need a little larger bag. Jumbo Bug out lite bag, real light for 2 people 5.11 push pack, same as the Jumbo Proteus, already explained, Weather Emergency Grab and Go
I am wanting to "Build up" at least two first aid kits. I already have the one Military kit so I might duplicate it as close as I can for a second kit. I WOULD like to have a more extensive kit IF I can ever find anywhere close where they teach you how to use a more extensive kit.

Well my Kelty Map3500 came in and it's a nice bag. With that and the TT 3 Day Assault I should be able to build up a couple pretty good bags for Patty and Myself. I am thinking 1 pair of jeans in each bag (his and hers). 2 or possibly 3 sets of socks and under ware MAYBE a pair of light sneaks for each one of us (spare) 2 or possibly 3 shirts of some kind depending on the season Rain gear (USGI Poncho) All Weather Emergency Blanket A"Cooling Towel" (Patty does not sweat so this is quite important for her) Head wear and Shemagh along with a pair of gloves for each of us 2 water bottles per pack (I may carry my pathfinder canteen and cup with "Stove" setup) IFAK for each bag (Maybe). At least a second kit for Boo boos S5 in Combat master sheath (each sheath has a DT Special fire kit in the auxiliary pouch) 411 in combat master sheath I an still thinking the 9mm Beretta pistol and Carbine for me and Ruger 10-22 for Patty Mt. House freeze dried meals possibly in another (Pouch, could be strapped anywhere or carried over the shoulder)
Now mind you, this is just a Shanks Mare carry. If in a vehicle a lot more stuff will be taken, including shotgun, AR and another handgun at least along with a lot more food, clothing, "Comfort" items of some sort.
I will have to add and subtract things as I build them up, depending on how much it weighs when I am satisfied. Even though I have a "List" this won't be completed over night. I am sure as I said I will think of things I need to add and others I need to remove. It's gonna take a while, but at least I've got a start and some good lists to look at and go by.

Would it be safe to store some items at your bug-out location?

No not really. There are other folks that go there at times, although rarely. Wouldn't want to take a chance even though we could put some stuff in a locked bolted down box.

Doesn't seem like a very secure bug-out location; you might look for another one or two a bit more secure. Always a good idea to have a "plan B".
