I guess you may not have heard that Remington declared bankruptcy and was broken up and sold to 7 bidders. Ruger bought Marlin.

I have hope for the New Marlin. But nothing will change until they move production and probably retool. Quality, fit, and finish went into the toilet when Marlin went to Remington. The leadership literally didn't care, so neither did the workers. It's going to be hard to fix.

I'm in the market for a pre-Rem 336 in 30-30.

I heard Joe Biden bought Remington years back. Guess that’s one way to have Gun control. Make guns that won’t work! wink

I finally found a mid-sized lever for my 45/70 from RangerPoint. SoI ordered one. I don't care for the big loops and the factory square lever is just a bit tight for me especially if I was wearing gloves. I have been looking for years and every time they have been sold out and didn't know when they were making another batch.

I guess the recent popularity of lever guns has helped. I'm thankful. This is probably one of the last things I want to make this my perfect lever gun.

If you don't mind me asking, what's that run ya? I'm no fan of the giant loop right, and you're right, with gloves on, holding the Guide Gun is not real easy... I've been tempted to get a bigger loop, but never wanted to pay $150 for something I think is truly ugly...

"Truly ugly" may be overdramatic... it's just not for me

With a 10% discount and shipping it was $126.

It's not a bad looking loop. I like it better than the squared off loop on it now. Mine is a straight stock.

Anyone have thoughts on LWRC ARs? Their DI guns...

I'm probably going to finish my Guard service in 2021 and then I'll lose my ability to buy ARs and mags and such. Thinking of a more gucci AR...
