MB, stay busy and take time to smell the evergreens. AND get all of you involved. Time spent outdoors, camping and such, will creat memories to last foe many generations, in actual life and in stories of adventure to be passed on.

@MB I was missing in this forum for several - well years I am afraid - may I ask what job it is? and supporting what Skunghunter said: If you have children, grandchildren or even neighbour kids you could teach about outdoor life that will leave a big impact!

I am, soon to be was Law Enforcement. I've spent a large portion of my career in specialized assignments. SWAT, Narcotics and specialized response teams in addition to patrol.
I work with a solid cadre of exceptional people.
I'm looking forward to easing up on the gas pedal and enjoying more time in the backcountry. The runt is looking forward to it also. More time camping and she wants to try her hand at bow hunting Elk.

One benefit of packing/boxing up the house to move is finding stuff you lost. I have found quite a bit of gun parts that I really wanted. I was able to finish minor repairs/mods on a couple of guns because I found the misplaced parts. Bolt covers, grips odds, and ends. The parts were in the weirdest spots.
