I picked up the Canik TP9SFX the other day. I haven't shot it yet but so far I'm liking the features. These are supposed to be a sort of competition ready Walther P99 or S&W SW99 clone that's being made in Turkey. I've always like the SW99 and P99 which is maybe why I like the M&P pistols as much as i do. I wanted to trick out my M&P CORE but I like it as a full size self defense option so I'm setting it up for that. So I got a this Canik and if it shoots then maybe I'll maybe see if I like it for plinking and maybe even dip my toes into some sort of competition shooting at some point. Otherwise I will call it a "truck gun" even even though it won't actually get left in my truck. The color does match my truck .

Color coordinated accessories are always a good bet.

I picked up a small portable safe. Vaultek Lifepod. It's kind of Gucci but I like it for a polymer safe. Digital code lock that has a loud enough snick to the lock that I can hear it lock and unlock. It holds a G-19 and a spare mag easily. They claim it will hold a G-17 but I'm not super sure I will try it out with a few more combos of pistols. They have a 24-inch steel cable to secure the safe in a car/truck. It's just enough to keep someone from doing a smash and grab or small hands from playing with a firearm.
It's odd but it's super handy since you can use it in your vehicle or house and is way more practical than it seems on the surface. At least I have a safer spot to store a pistol when I can't take it into a business. This one seems more secure and is a little larger than the metal one that I have.

  Update:
I checked and it fits a full-size G-17/22 and barely but it does fit a G-45 with an RMR. both with a spare mag.

I don't know that I would have gotten one if it weren't for my wife. She lost the key to my safe in the truck and didn't remember even having the key. So a keypad is nice and I got her one for her car as well. Can't ;ose the keypad and a backup key and power source is handy.

Bought a Google Pixel 5.
This will be my first new and up to date "nice" phone in maybe 10 years. I used to buy the latest greatest stuff but I realized there was zero return on that stuff and a year or two old phone did the job fine for a year or two. More money for guns and knives!
But, I have a few projects I want to work on so a newer phone will help with that.

I put a deposit down in this cargo trailer this weekend. An 8.5 x 24 V-nose with a 7'6 tall rear door/ramp, 48' side door. 5200lb tandem axles. So I should never need any more trailer. Its weight limit is right about where my truck is rated. I plan on using it for our move then converting it to a camper/toy hauler. It should be a decent project to keep me busy for a little while.
