The Marine Times reported that about 5,000 Marines were relocated to Quam from Okinawa according to an agreement with Japan to reduce the number of U.S. troops on Okinawa. The Marine Times also reported “ Former Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Robert Neller also questioned whether it was a good idea to move too many Marines to Guam just as the Marine Corps prepares for a potential confrontation with China.”

Well, thanks for the prayers. Hope you are doing well. COVID is getting closer to us. Where my wife works (an assisted living center) got their first cases last week. Two of the staff tested positive. They say it was from Thanksgiving celebrations they were part of. Hugs and kisses, no social distancing etc. The center was doing well up to now. Several staff there have have taken leave because they have compromised immune systems or have family members who do.

Like I say, paranoia will keep you safe. Man of the “centers” around here have had it really tough.

Don't take the COVID too lightly. My sister in law and niece work at a small hospital in western Illinois where apparently it is running rampant. She said that a lot of the doctors and nurses ae getting sick, and their little town is pretty much locked down.

We have actually been fortunate here. But folks have got complacent and now our community is paying for it.

I have had a couple of friends who passed away due to Covid. One was in his early 40's the other in her 80's . A bunch of others had it and ranged from it was horrible to not a big deal symptoms. My daughter's friend has had it twice.
