Now I got to determine if the stock will hold a sling swivel stud, and see about possibly chopping an inch off of it, making the LOP 13.5 inches instead of just about 14.625. The lop works, But I would just like it about an inch to an inch and a half shorter. All my Weatherbys are 13.5 and I really like that length to reduce catching on clothing when you shoulder it in a hurry.

GREAT! Thank You Ray. All I could find talked about percent of constriction which meant nothing to me. I still have to pattern it at about 10, probably 25 and again at 35 yards.

Sure is. That is all I shot for about 11-12 years. And in a Sweet 16 no less!

Haha, a pump 12ga J.C. Higgins is the gun I “moved up to”. It was a good gun, but heavy. Had that funny screw in “choke” or compensator on it. Had to just be a comp because it was about an inch away from the muzzle.

You may be talking about a Cutts Compensator. Invented by a Marine I believe. I remember that a lot of shotguns from the 1940’s and 1950’s had them.

My Dad had a bolt action 12 gauge ...Sears I believe ... with a "Poly-Choke" ... variable choke on it.
