We had CZ rifles (and handguns) out here for many many years in great numbers before they were common in the US, as in from the late 40s early 50s. Out here they were for many years (till the 90s) sold as "Brno" rifles. My Mod 1 was dated 1952 I believe and the Mod2 I still have is 1982 (I got it in 83 as I recall) and would truly be one of the very last firearm i parted with. The 452 is simply an updated (mostly - to it's detriment I believe) and "Americanisation" of the Mod2. The Brno Fox in .22Hornet and .222Rem is probably the ultimate "walking around rifle", at the end of their production they also came in .223Rem and I really really regret not grabbing one (as I was in the trade at the time).

I'd love to find a 527 style, in 243, with nicely figured walnut and high gloss blue. If it had a 20" free floating sporter weight barrel AND iron sights ... it would be the perfect rifle for my wife.

I always wanted to get her a 243 when we owned our farm.

Do you happen to know the approximate round count? What are the three letters of your serial number? This will allow me to date it.

I'll check the serial number when I get home and get back on here, but the approximate round count is ~2k rounds.

You've passed the round count in which I've witnessed the most ejection / extraction issues present themselves. You may very well have one that works.

If its a Gen 3 it'll have the flawed 336 ejector, but might not have the awful dip MIM extractor.

You can pull the 30275 ejector from a Gen 4 ejector block and install it in your gun should the need arise. Don't try to install the whole block .. it won't fit.
