Dan, I really like the Scrap Yard Knives and appreciate the performance we get for the price. I was admiring the contrast between the urban gray blade and black textured handle on my Busse Badger when I noticed that the pattern was similar to the one on the Street Srapper 4 Res C handle. It made me think of a way to make a different version of Srap Yard Knives without the very high labor costs of micarta handles and satin polished blades. A Dog Father or any other model with a gray blade and textured handle would look great and only cost a little more than the standard model to make. I know it would not work any better, but you could charge a little extra for the option and it would be cheaper than the current Limited Editions. Would it be possible to do such a thing and still keep prices well below the other Busse family knives?

Intersting observation and idea. I love the thinking. Of course, no promises but a very ScrapYard like thought

Thanks
Dan

A gray blade option would be cool.
I would buy one of the whole line in gray.

Variety is the spice of life. I would definitely be up for a gray blade with textured Res-C handles.

Good thinking HD I love my Mudder handle on my SS4 and a grey blade would look cool. One thing I like about the current line is you can actually own the whole line up without taking out a second mortgage. All I need is an S6 preferably a LE.
I consider that if 2 knives are released at the same time like the Hook and guard or the S6 and S6 LE they are options not different knives so you should only need one.

Copy that about the fundage. That's the cool thing about Dan's philisophy.

Thanks for considering the idea, Dan. I think it would be a less costly option than the current LE offerings. It would be in keeping with the Scrap Yard philosophy to lower the cost of Limited Editions. All that polishing is a lot of work! Just paint it gray and put a textured respirine C grip on it and call it the LE. I'll buy them.

Another Q Dan,

In the Knife Pics string page (1), are the knives listed by you the knives that you will be offering in the near future? I have the DF, Srp 6, YH, and YG. You have a pic that looks like a Scrapper-6, but it appears to have a 7.5"-8" blade. Is this one that's on the production menu in time?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll just keep my eye to the screen so to speak. Man how I like cheese. That's just not right.
