The wife is really liking it here so far.
I had to do the non resident thing. As transplant, you have to wait 6 months until you can pay the normal fees for hunting and fishing. It was a buy once cry once thing. I'm good to go In December.

A big portion of Oregon and Washington want to become "Greater Idaho". The map I saw would make it about the size of Texas. Plus contain a fairly large port.

I don't think it will happen. But the people that are pushing for it are the ones who don't like the liberal politics and laws that are being forced on them.

I'm reasonably sure it won't happen. Both states would lose too much tax base and it would really change how many representatives they have. It's too bad things have gotten that bad. Colorado voted for a similar thing to split up the state (basically get rid of the metro area) but it was stopped by the state before it got to the feds. A lot of states in the west are getting tired of getting ruled by a metro area instead of actually getting representation.

Several VA counties are also trying to secede over to West VA. I likewise doubt it will happen, but it would make it much easier to retire and keep my doctors...
