We got showered with ash today apparently van has the worst air quality in the world right now, staying outside all day is equivilant to smoking 9 cigarettes Decided to try and hide in a little local river and it was awesome. Made the best of a crappy day forsure

Evening/ Morning!

Another good day for a young retiree. Spent part of the day getting the gym partially set up. Assembled a hammock stand, took the wife, kid and wonder mutt to go swimming at the ponds. Then capped of the night by watching the meteor showers from the comfort of a hammock. That may be my new favorite way to stargaze.

I’m glad you are enjoying retirement, MB. When I retired 13 years ago, I was a bit unhappy for a few weeks. I missed the people. I would still wake up at the same time each morning and the thought flashed through my mind that I needed to get up and get ready for work. Then the realization hit that I didn’t have to. So I would just roll over and catch a few more winks. The thing I don’t miss is fighting a 45 minute commute with bad traffic and worse drivers.

Ray, was up your way for a week once on an inspection tour of a ANG base in Rhodesia Island. Pretty territory but really sucky traffic. Best thing there were the half Yard drinks. But man, they wanted your first born for collateral until you were done!

Did you try the chowder, clam cakes and Saugy hotdogs?

Nope, only had a couple days off from the inspection. Spent the time driving into neighboring states just to say I had been there. oh and a couple pit stops of course. Stupidly, went drunkenly walking around Brown (I think) University about 2am.

If it was a long time ago, crime was not a problem then and you probably were not the only tipsy person around at 2am.

You could buy those refillable k-cups and put the droppings from the chicken coop in them. Probably taste better.

Thanks for the heads up Randy. We’re doing fine other than just being bored from sitting around. Very mild symptoms.
