Agreed the flavor in BF isn’t the same. I didn’t spend a lot of time in the swamp as it seemed to be a lot of Australians and they are in a different schedule and had their own thing going. I think I joined here when I just turned 18. Spent the next few years on here and so it practically feels like Randy and Tom are another set of grandpas for me......

The Swamp is where I got started with Busse, and I am sorry to see it flailing. It needs a Busse to run things; even Eric Isaacson's efforts could not yield the same results, though he tried really hard and deserves a lot of credit.

Yeah nothing like the people who actually are involved in running the company and passionate about it interacting with the customers on a real deal friendly bases to stir it up and keep fire in the forge.

Does anyone know where to get some of the basic nylon sheaths that Busse and kin has offered on and off over the years with their knives? They aren’t fancy but I find they work just fine on my regulator and 911 and it would be nice to have a few more.

Yeah, Melbourne copped the worst of the lockdowns. I never venture that far south. Cesar was down there but had the good sense to escape back up here before it all hit the fan.

I drove well out into north west that last time to where they call the corner country, ending up doing over 5,000 kilometers.
Nothing like waking up in the morning smelling cow s....

GD one of the things I liked about the Swamp was the sheer amount of people from other countries that had a shared interest. Trumby, Rob Stanley, and a host of others. Australia, Germany, Italy, Norway and a few others. I know we have a few that drop in and out here and some crossover.

I always like hearing about drop bears, kangaroo meat, Red Stag and boars. Toilets swirling the wrong way and everything that wants to kill you in the down under

I still miss the swamp, and like you I could never really warm to BF either.

Our old mate is still struggling and seems to have slipped back a little more.
