unfortunately in Canada we do not have any rights, we only have privileges
Most Canadians have never read let alone understand our Charter of rights.
Section 1 allows for "reasonable " infringement of our rights, then doesn't define what reasonable is (so the government and courts decide what is reasonable)
Section 33 also known as the not with standing clause allows the government (federal or provincial) to set aside a right for a period of up to five years (with no limit on the number of renewals)
And of course it specifically defines affirmative action as not being discriminatory

We don't even have the right to own private property in Canada

Rediculous and gross.

On top of that our SOC has been an activist court for decades so they have expanded aboriginal rights that do not exist in the Charter, and expanded government control over everyday people, not to mention creating laws at times

SOCIALISM is the slow infection of a moral “free” society. It is neither MORAL or FREE.

A Freedom given up is nothing more than another link hammered closed around the throat of a moral freedom loving society.

I better stop now before I get into even more trouble, but what better day to honor those before us and those still standing up against tyranny.

Took a vacation day today and went mountain biking with a buddy just outside of Cincinnati Ohio. Got in 14mi and 1700ft of elevation change! What a great time. All the hills make for some thrilling runs with gap jumps and I got a top speed of 22mph on one run through the woods.

Downhill/enduro riders are an insane breed. Intense is an understatement

I was just talking with my granddaughter in Florida who LOVES snowboarding ; ironic isn't it ? I think it's great when folks participate in sports they enjoy, whatever that may be.

Randy, your words of wisdom are SO true ; time for folks to stop taking their freedoms for granted and hold the politicians accountable for their actions. One of the prices of freedom is eternal vigilance.
