What are the differences?

Different grinds, choils and spine angles but they feel like totally different knives. The alpha reg is like a hybrid between the two on the spine. Starts square then rounds and tapers to a stabby tip

I think between the 5" ers I like the 511 the most if I could only have 1. Stripped and slightly thinned if that's fair. The mutt is very slicey , my woman likes the mudder handle alot, I'm excited to give it a rip in the kitchen. Fal'er sent it with a wicked edge too

Yeah man use that for awhile.

Twoody, I really like the 511 as well. More in line with the “hunting” knives I grew up with. But in a strictly survival situation I would probably go with my S5 or 411/Mud Mutt. I think I would be afraid of breaking off the sharp tip. I’d have to take another hard look at it though.

I hear ya. It’s taken me some time to start appreciating “spear points”. Same with Tanto tips. Although I’m still not ready to carry an Americanized tanto tip for an edc knife yet.

Yeah that size range for me is well covered by SR101 and INFI I’d have a hard time choosing.
