Delivery stuff can be weird. I ordered some stuff that was from Florida. It was sent to Cali, then Salt Lake, (which is our hub) Then to New York, New Jersey Kentuck and finally back to Salt Lake. I'm just glad it wasn't something I absolutely needed last week. I planned ahead since I need it next month.

Yeah this crap is why I normally send UPS. I’ve never had this kind of stuff happen with them only USPS and fedex

We have had our best luck with UPS ; the driver knows us and is great with our deliveries.

Good morning Yard. It's going to be a nice day with temps near 60 degrees.

Morning Yard!
I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to lay out my garden this year. Missed out on a garden last year with the move. I'm planning on starting peppers and red onions from seed today They both take way longer than my growing season here.
We are going to need to start buying canning jars and lids as well. They were gone long before the normal time last year and were in short supply a few years before.
I think I'm going to try and plant a couple of fruit trees if I can find a self-pollinating apple tree and maybe an apricot tree that can deal with the cold winters. I'll probably plant a few blackberry and raspberry bushes in a corner of the back lot as well.
We are a long way off from being self-sufficient food-wise but once we get it figured out I think we can put a dent in how much we have to buy for the stuff we use most.

LOL, I hope so.
I just have to decide what part of my yard I'm going to sacrifice and how much of it.

I wouldn’t want to do it in the front yard unless you want to keep folks away.

We skipped the garden last year, but we have already ordered seeds for this year. Not sure if we will do the entire 30' X 75' garden, but we'll see. We also have 24 half drums by our deck for convenience, usually a few tomatoes, peppers, and herbs.
