I’ve never hunted waterfowl or Turkey. Now the big five yes. (Deer, rabbit, quail, pheasant, and squirrel) (sorry DT).

My first turkey was when I moved down here 30 years ago, and the first wild turkey I ever ate. When talking with my neighbor from down the road, he was surprised that wild turkeys tasted good. I was surprised that he shot turkeys mainly for their beards and feathers and didn't eat them.. I feel like it is a waste to not eat the turkey.

I'm feeling better, getting plenty of rest and the General's fine care. I want to get myself built back up so I will be ready when the Doctor can re-schedule my knee replacement.

I tried mowing the yard before the rains move in but I only got so far before I had to stop. I guess I'm still pretty run down because it sure kicked my butt. Going to take it easier for the next few days.

Yeah, don’t make the mistake of thinking you are good when you haven’t fully recovered. So what if the grass gets taller. That’s better than the General finding you passed out or worse on a run away mower.
