The Friday the 13th jinx is REAL ! Early this morning I took the dogs for a walk with me to the mailbox ... 125 yards from our house. We were almost back when my legs gave out on me, and I collapsed at the top of the steps. After a couple of minutes I struggled to get up and let the dogs in followed by me. I collapsed again between the utility room and kitchen. I called out to the General and she helped me back up and back to bed. I really strained my shoulder but otherwise I'm OK. I sure don't want to do that again!
I hope everyone else had a better day.

Holy smoke Tom. Any idea what caused the collapse?

As for me, I’ll be seeing my endocrinologist Tuesday 4 months early. But on a good note, my Family Dr put me on Celebrex as the Tylenol or Aleve just wasn’t cuttin it. After just one capsule, I can feel the Back ache but it’s not even an irrritation. IT’S GREAT! I can take one twice a day as needed.

Good to hear that the Celebrex is working for you. Years ago after the General had back surgery and after some healing time her doctor put her on Celebrex and it helped her quite a bit. As for me, I think I'm just weak from not being able to do much walking for so long. But I'm getting better ! smile

Thanks guys. It WAS a scary situation, as it was before daylight and cold and the General was sleeping. It was like when marathon runners collapse when their legs give out on them after a race. My shoulder is really sore from struggling to get up, but otherwise not too bad.

Are you SURE it was because of the surgeries and not something else? You should maybe talk to someone about it. Some things we shouldn’t blow off to quickly.
