My life just got easier in regards to building a chicken coop. I had forgotten the people who owned the property had a big doghouse sitting behind one of the sheds. I just need to line the floor, add a nesting box to one end , add a roost and a solid door add some ventilation and I have a coop big enough for 3 or 4 chickens.
That's going to make it way more reasonable to start raising egg layers.

Along and South of I-44 is supposed to get more, with spots in Arkansas possibly up to 10 inches. I think my legs may be too weak to shovel, so I guess the General will have to do it.
