On the good side, I can already tell a difference. It is better than the Keurig. Once I can get some course grind coffee and really learn how to use it, I’ll be fine.

I hope that fancy French press isn’t too complicated for a hillbilly to operate.

Made another cup in the French Press. Used just a touch less water and it went a lot better. Now to use up my 1 pound can of Folgers and then get some good stuff! You can start calling me Ray Jr. grin

I used my Work Tuff Gear Kodiak yesterday. A beats but the smooth G10 handles slip a lot when chopping causing my hand to slip down to the bottom of the grip and load all the shock of impact into my pinky finger. Bummed out. Res-C spoils you on big knives for comfort.

I originally ignored this hurtful (scuse me while I go cry in a corner before I go pet the calming llama Y’all’s president has provided). Because as sophisticated Redneck (I drink my coffee with my pinky finger sticking out). But some things just can’t be ignored, so there Ya big bullies.

Actually today was a good productive day. The therapist gave Patty (after watching her get in and out of the Escape) the green light for a road trip. Sooo we drove 30 miles to get her her favorite chicken gizzards. They are so soft and tasty. Yum yum.

Then when I got home tonight I moved some furniture from each bedroom to the other so we will be ready when the articulating beds and our Tempur-Pedic mattresses get here. Wasn’t cheap, but her Dr, son, and the physical and occupational therapists said that’s what would be best for her.

She has lifetime restrictions of NO stooping down, no setting in chairs at less than a 90 degree angle and no bending over. So we bought her something called a hip kit from Amazon. It has grabbers, leg pulling strap, something to help her put her socks on and a 24 or 30 inch shoe horn. It’s gonna be an adjustment for us both but we can do it. She has graduated from a wheel chair to a walker (as long as she doedn’t go to far) and they even have her walking with just a cane if they (therapist) are with her.

So basically we are just waiting for our beds to get delivered and set up and she can come home. We figure (hopefully) next week or the one after.

That's good news Randy. Also, the physical therapists are pretty good at what they do so they should be able to help Patty. wink

So here is my pain. I’ve wanted a satin and pumpkin G10 battle mistress for a while to go with my AMS satin& pumpkin and INFIMANDU satin/pumpkin. But man that new knife is a chunk of change considering everything I’ve already spent. I wonder if I will regret not getting one. It would be nice to have a finished large/medium/small knife set

Mike, I feel your pain. I had just ordered a 300 watt solar panel, and had to take one of our dogs to the Vet because of convulsions. That alone cost $355.00. frown
