Patty had her first PT today since leaving the Nursing Home. She did pretty well but says she is a little sore.

Howdy Ray and the rest of the Yard. Going to take the dogs out before the rains move in.

Got a package today, from a good friend who just returned from a trip to Israel. In it was a Velcro patch that says “Shepards we shall be”.

He then went on to tell me that he ordered the patch specifically for me, so he could carry it in his trip to the Holy Land. He also typed out a three page summary of where he carried my patch. It went of course to all the major sights and a few places not on anyone’s itinerary but that of him and his Fiancé.

Some may say he traveled half way around the world and all you got was a patch! Well to me it is MUCH more than that.
It is a symbol, A reminder that we ARE our brothers keeper. We should do our best to safeguard those unable to protect themselves from the savages that are so prevalent on our streets and homes.

Be a Shepard, or a Sheep Dog. Both serve to protect GOD’S flock, even those who do not believe.
