Afternoon Yard. While surfing Round my regular YouTube channels I came across a reference to a News Source I’ve not heard of before. It’s called Ground News, and so far I like it. What they seem to do is scour the news outlets (they claim about 50k sources) and then rate them buy leaning left, right or center and give you a percentage of which way they lean. In addition they give you a numerical listing of how many sources are reporting on that story.

So far I’m liking what I am seeing as you can pick and choose which article “slant” you want to read. I’m gonna give it some more time before deciding if I want to subscribe (VERY reasonable rates depending on which level you want).

Afternoon yard!

I replaced the back brakes on my old truck this morning. 72000 miles and they had about half the pads still left. I expected them to have a bit more than the front brakes did but that's a lot for that many miles.

Clearly I don't brake for much of anything .

M/B, my 01 Dodge has 100,600 miles on it and still the original brake pads. I guess I baby it a little.

Our 2011 Jeep patriot had 145k mikes before needing pads. And our 2010 Explorer had 104k.

Good morning Yard. The cool front moved through making it feel like a nice Fall day and evening. It was nice sitting on the deck last night with the bright "Super Blue Moon" lighting up the back yard.

Nice, my expectations for brakes are off then.

My 1/2 ton 01 Ram blasted through the front brakes in less than 25,000 miles. That year half to was meter pretty heavy on the front brakes over the rear.

It's nice here today. 46 degrees this morning and maybe low 80s for the high. I can deal with that.
