Hadn’t thought about that Josh, good idea. All jokes aside it probably wasn’t the smartest thing I’ve ever done. BUT last month I had something similar happen on the same day by two different guys and that kinda unnerved me. But theirs were just passing comments made while we were in a store shopping. Yeah you’re right Ray. And if the other incident hadn’t happened I might have just taken this guy as a nut case. Reckon I’m gonna have to start paying attention more to the “little” details. Living in a small town with 1302 people you don’t think about stuff like that. And the largest town or city from us between St Louis and Memphis only has a population of 38K. So we’re not used to folks like that. Times are a changin and we ALL need to pay more attention to our surroundings and the people. I just wasn’t in a condition Yellow mindset. I need to change that. I’m an old man, fat, out of shape with a bad back walking with a 5ft hickory stick. I would look like an easy mark to any “predator”. But I fully believe if you act like you have some long, sharp teeth or claws, a predator may sense they might get hurt and move on to an easier prey. MAYBE that’s what happened then. Either way, I’ll take it as a win for the good guys. I believe that if you feel you can’t (or won’t) fight back when threatened you’ve already lost. So goes the sermon for today.

Randy, always calm, always dangerous.
The only thing you might do differently in the future is carry a fork. Snap that knife, pull out your fork, maybe strap on a bib, look at the guy, start drooling, and say "Hello lunch." Haha, I DO always carry a Titanium spork in my Man Bag.

If a woman were carrying Randy’s “man bag” it would be called a “purse”.

Just watch out when you sit down with that spork in your "man bag" Just yanking your..... chain. I am familiar with the tactical man bag... without adding the word "Tactical" yes, Ray is right, it becomes a "purse." Actually, you only need "Tactical" if you're not an obvious bad@$$ like Randy. I have a SOTECH "tactical" man bag I take to church or when I go somewhere and I'm not hauling my EDC pack. I have a Maxped Fatboy man bag I take hunting when I need to carry my tree climber and I can't carry my hunting pack. I have a separate Maxped man bag I have my emergency survival kit in. LONG LIVE THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE MAN BAG! Let's not make that an official slogan

OK, for full transparency and disclosure, MY Man bag is a sage/forest green Maxped Fatboy. I also have some other “Maxped” bags direct from Taiwan thanks to a great dog! My man bag is my edc pouch. I carry my aforementioned titanium spork, some lite meds, aspirin tums aleve meclizine and “sugar pills” in case our sugar levels drop to much. I also the full size Emerson CQC-15 in the “secret pouch”. And I also carry reading glasses and a glucose monitor and test strips. Oh and I also have an Epi pin for Patty (we’ve had to use one twice over the years). And I also carry a small note pad and a pen, and nail clippers with a set of tweezers. Oh and a small fidget spinner. Hey, you never know when you might need something to occupy yourself. So you can see, I ONLY carry the necessities. Speaking of I still need to set up the GHB packs I keep in each vehicle for winter.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys this. On the way home Friday as we were headed South toward home we saw a (or the, don’t know how many there are) Oscar Mayer Wiener mobile headed north.

Howdy folks ... we're back home. We had a great trip, and turned out the Alamo Park Rangers absolutely LOVED my Bowie knives ! (I took two) The sergeant in charge even asked me if he could have a fellow Ranger take a picture of him holding one of my Bowies. and of course I said yes. They were great! To avoid the insane drivers around Austin and Dallas we returned via a different route through west Texas and Oklahoma, then through Kansas visiting various museums along the way. A very interesting trip, but of course it's good to be back home. Tomorrow we go pick up the dogs at the kennel and things will be back to "normal".
