My wife laughed at our first major snowstorm of the season. She shoveled our driveway in record time and came back inside and made us a nice breakfast of sausage, eggs and home fries.

Ray, she is definitely a keeper ! She deserves to have you go easy on her the rest of the day, maybe lighten her work load a little.

Good late morning Yard. We're getting ready to make the trip to town for a few items and then back again to enjoy this reasonably nice day. I hope all my fellow Dogs are doing well.

Good morning Yard. They lessened the amount of predicted snow down to 1 to 2 inches which is great news, but lowered the one night's temp down to 7 degrees. I guess the General and I will have to stay warm ................ somehow.

Yeah maybe, but at least I bet it brought a grin to your face. And maybe a shake of your head. I once had an older cousin that once said to me “You ain’t right”. BUT, he meant it in a good way. I think it was when I gave him my authenticated 125 year old “Peace Pipe” to add to his, million dollar certified Indian (American) artifacts collection . It included a Chief’s full “war bonnet” eagle feather head dress. Along with the ceremonial clothing. I think that after both his and his wife’s death the collection sold for 1.2 mil. It was a very impressive collection that he didn’t let many folks know about, let alone see. Heck even closer members of the family didn’t know how extensive the collection was.

That DOES sound like an impressive collection ! One of the things that surprised and disappointed me on our Alamo trip was the Indian museums we visited : they had lots of pictures and paintings but very little actual artifacts. The most artifacts of old western times was in the Dalton museum in Coffeyville Kansas.

I do know that about 5 years before he died he was offered a mil for it and turned it down.
