Well, we can try to make the best of it as we can. A few of us left contact information in a thread in case Jerry pulls the plug on the Yard. I have spoken with a couple of our fellow Dogs on the phone which was nice.

I picked up a UV-9G GMRS radio for the kiddo. She is living a couple of miles away now and having alternate comments is probably a good idea. I have a bunch of Other radios but I don't think she is going to get a tech license anytime soon.

Now to test them out and see if they actually work across the town. That and figure out how to text message from them.

I figured it out. Texting using a radio is insanely easy.

Good evening Yard. We made it through the cold day today and tomorrow begins a gradual warmup, back to the low 70's for the weekend. I just came in with the dogs and while outside I noticed a thin skim of ice on their water bucket, though our thermometer was reading 34 degrees. Still not bad for the end of February.

It’s been some crazy weather for sure. It’s 37 right now with a high of 51.

Yes it is, just shorter. I have a couple of TigerSharks, including the blued blade "Midnight" model. The line can still be had for about what the Yard used to be like. Of course, I have drawers full of Bussekin blades.
