Today was a MUCH better day. We went to the range again today. But last night I got my boresight bullet and set it up at about 15 yards.

Today, the first shot at 25 yards was about 1.5 inches low and 3 inches left. Three shots later (after adjusting my scope) I was in the red (about 2x4 inch oblong). I also not only sighted in my Savage MSR15 Patrol, but also my Colt 6721 Carbine. 1st shot center but about 2 inches left. Next shot in the red.

Sighted both so that they are about an inch high at 100 yards and should be back on at 200 (the range only goes to 100 yards).

So I now have all my primary “long arms” (the Savage, Colt and the Scorpion PCC) all sighted in. But the Scorpion is setting around a half to one inch high at 25 yards.

I can live quite comfortably with those numbers. grin

Had to go back to the gun store to have them take off the stock hand guards on my Colt 6721 Carbine. I replaced them with these as I will now have M-LOC capability. Not bad for 10bucks.

Haha, for sure the best armed! Most folks in our small section are in their 50s-80s and don’t really do guns. There are I think 20 houses in our “other side of the tracks” housing area (not counting the funeral home) grin

Well, I did what I consider semi major Gunsmithing today. I replaced the old trigger spring setup (3 springs) in my Savage AR15 today, and So far so good. Trigger moves, Hammer goes forward and the safety works. IF what they claim is correct I went from an 8 pound trigger to one that’s about 4.5-5 pounds. I sure can tell a difference. We’ll see how things go next time I go to the range. grin If all is well I’ll probably change out the springs in my Colt 6721 as well.
