I smoked a tri-tip this evening.

I picked up a nice tri-tip from a mom and pop butcher shop and I nailed the rub mix this time. It was by far my best one yet.

I'm hoping I can recreate it. Otherwise I'm going to be chasing the dragon on this,

I’m not good with a grill but yesterday I baked some buttermilk corn muffins and some bran muffins.

I can burn fried bologna with the best of them.

I haven't fired up the grill yet this year mainly due to the weather. I really enjoy a steak done on the grill, so perhaps when the General returns from visiting her mother we can grill a couple of steaks.

Afternoon dogs. We’ e spent all day deep cleaning the kitchen. Took a degreaser and 409 to all the cabinets and flooring. Then wiped down the complete refrigerator.

I just finished mowing next door and the paths ....it's HOT out there! Going to do just a little more work on the garden and then water the plants in the tubs behind the house. After that, a shower, chow, and goofing off.

The wife and I went out exploring some back roads. Found some new spots for camping and riding ATV's and a few likely fishing spots along the Snake river. Saw a few deer and a few Bald Eagles hanging out and hunting.
