Good morning Yard. One more day of hot and muggy weather and then some relief is in sight. So, another day to stay cool inside.

Morning Yard!
It's on the chilly side for August. It's 39 degrees right now. I'm pretty stoked to be out of the heat for a bit. It's supposed to warm up to the low 90's this weekend but I'm hoping that's the end of hot weather for the season.

This should bring in some good fishing. I'm looking forward to it.

Mornin yard. I’m goin nuts (OK Ray, nuttier) trying to figure out if I should buy 115gr or 124gr(my duty ammo weight) for practice at up to 15 yards with an occasional shot at 25yd. Would that really make enough difference in Poa Vs Poi?

Practice with both, then go with what you are most accurate with shooting.

There shouldn’t really be much if any difference in the ammo weights at that range. I find myself questioning my decisions on some things more now than I used to.

Skunk. I think the key to that question is this. What grain ammo are you using for carry? If you are using 124gr for carry then buy and practice with 124gr. It's rarely going to be perfect but with the same grain projectile as long as they are close in velocity it should be close enough for government work If you plan on burning a ton of ammo 115 is occasionally cheaper. But I am finding they are pretty close in price and I shoot a lot so I buy in bulk anyway. I also use 124 gr. More because it has a little more umph on steel plates and a marginal hit may knock it down where a weaker ammo with 115 may not. It's not a big difference but it has won me braggin rights a few times.

Thanks MB. That was my thinking. My carry ammo is all 124gr. And yeah many times it’# all the same price.
