Almost afternoon Yard!


It's going to be a warm one today. Supposed to get into the 90's.

I didn't get in on any of the new knives. I'm going to save my pennies for a new gen set and a switch to power the house. We had yet another power outage and I'm not liking that with winter coming on.

Got my problem tree down and mostly cleaned up this morning. Now on to more chores before the snow hits.

Just finished mowing the yard, now taking a short break before mowing the paths. Today was really nice temp wise and with a nice breeze blowing made it nice for mowing.

Hmmm ....... I wonder if Josh ordered four knives I could have gotten in on the discount. ???

Probably. He said that 3 would cut the cost of each by 17 bucks.

I keep I touch regularly with him and Gary.

He said they are supposed to start getting rain from the hurricane starting tomorrow/tomorrow night.

And you didn't even think about including poor old Klink in on the discount buy. Oh well, as least I have my four dogs as buddies.

Sorry Tom. He needed a decision then as he was ordering that night.

Afternoon Yard!

A nice mild day here.

I put a Turkey Breast on the smoker. I figured I would try my hand at smoking a turkey before Thanksgiving to see how it turns out. I'll probably invite the runt and her boyfriend over for dinner as guinea pigs.

I went ahead and ordered a new generator since my wife approved it for our budget.

Sounds good all the way around M/B.

The Smoked Turkey was pretty danged good. Turkey isn't my favorite protein meal but this will definitely go into the rotation.

The barbeque restaurant we frequent smokes their meats for 12 hours, and it is fantastic.
