Way I had it figured out, it SHOULD power our whole house. But I flunked Algebra so who knows  Oh and good thing to know about the electronics, thanks.

That's why the inverter type generators are suggested for sensitive electronics ; they put out "pure sine wave" power as opposed to "modified sine wave" power. "Pure sine wave" power is what you get with your regular electrical power company, as opposed to what a standard generator puts out.

The inverter Gen sets are great. But pricey. I think the predator from Harbor freight is the cheapest larger one and if my memory serves me correctly it's about $2400.

Yes, the inverters are more expensive ; you have to pay more for the "clean" power.

Yeah, it makes more sense they would cost more. So that’s what I should be looking at, the inverter generators.

I replace my beloved 940 Osborne with another one. I tried some other pocket knives but that one is/was my favorite. I was able to catch one on sale for about the same price as the one I got a good deal on 10 years ago.

I lost mine earlier this year and didn't want to spend the cash to replace it. But I couldn't find anything I liked as much as that pocket knife. I'm going to have to tie a string on it like a kid's mittens.
