I’ve been seeing several videos where “folks” are saying that regular canned meat (fish, Chicken pork beef, well you get the idea) are good well past the “best by” or “use by” date IF the cans are not dented, rusted or bulging. Just something to keep in mind.

That is true, Randy. But the taste and texture will likely be adversely impacted. In the 1970’s I guess the Army was clearing out their old food stocks and we were issued C-rats produced in 1950. Nobody got sick but they were horrible.

Yes Ray, the government issued old stock C-rats to us in 69'-70' when I was in VietNam. We had .50 cal. ammo dated 1945 ! However, it worked just fine, and the C-rats taught us to LOVE the dehydrated meals we received a couple of times when we were in the mountains.  As far as regular canned meats go, they will last quite a while past their expiration or "use by" date. It's always a good idea to rotate stock by using them occasionally.

I did not like the C-rats but I actually enjoyed LRRP rations. But I might have been very hungry though.
