Nice looking set, Skunk. When you say old fashioned, I think you mean…….cheap. Haha, I guess it depends on what part of the country you’re from. But, I have always liked carbon blades better than stainless.

I admit that I am "frugal", but I prefer carbon steel myself.

I am supposed to get an Irish Shillelagh (blackthorn) hiking staff tomorrow. I feel compelled to name this stick for some reason and I feel it is very important (don’t really know why). Do Y’all have any good suggestions for names?

Good morning Yard. Warm and windy today so we're going into town for a little shopping.

Got my stick today. It has a little more of a dogleg bend in it toward the top than I thought it did. I’m trying to straighten it out just a might using a hot air gun and some clamps. Gonna leave it a couple days and see what happens. Other than That I like it.

Evening Yard!
It's getting chillier here. Topped out at 46 today and I would be surprised if we didn't get measurable snow soon. It has been way warmer than usual up until today.
I voted today, In person early voting is great. Then the wife and I went out looking for critters, Not much luck 4 mule deer and a bunch of hawks. But it was a nice drive. Then we took a gift to the daughter of our favorite butcher, He passed away a couple of weeks ago and she is struggling.

Thanks, Klink,
As much as I would like to take credit it's all on my wife. She is a much better person than I am. She has a gift and a poem that she gives out to people who have lost someone or have had serious trauma etc. She tries to do it as anonymously as possible but more recently people have been seeking her out to thank them and it has turned into a ministry at our church. She is known as the Bear Lady. At least thats what people who don't know her and are asking around trying to find her and thank her say.
