Good evening Yard. We had a long but nice day today ; another trip to the VA and then to Sam's Club for a gourmet lunch and shopping, then on to Costco for a little more shopping. It sure felt good to get back home !

It's going to be warm for this time of year at least around here. A bit on the damp side. It just started raining when I was out taking care of the chickens.

I got my new hearing aids last week. I have to say they are a massive improvement over my last pair. I surprised the audiologist with the damage to my hearing and the fact that I have been wearing hearing aids for 10 years already. They aren't used to seeing people as young as I am (it's relative) with the kind of damage I have. I'm not used to the hearing on my left side being shifted to my right ear. It's going to take a bit to get used to.

We just returned from the Vet's office, and found that our Great Dane / Mastiff dog is diabetic. So, more money for meds each month, but he's worth it. The other customers and their kids all loved to pet him.

So sorry to hear about your “puppy” Tom. They become much more than just pets, they are family.

Yes, he's a big boy, a "gentle giant". He is also very pretty, an almost golden color with darker highlights on his head and tail, which is rather unusual for that mix.
