Since I've been gone a long while (Bo clue why I couldn't log in, or why it more works, but I'm not complaining

), focus of catchy you all up...
Picked up our elder daughter from school yesterday. Just finished her first year of her nursing program. She got in "early decision," or something like that. Lots of school ratios you to do a year or two of college and then APPLY to their nursing program. She earned her CNA (certified nurses assistant) certification when she was 16, which helped her get right into a BS in nursing program. She passed the CNA test her first try-- there were adults on their second or third attempt to pass the test when She took it.
Went to my oldest's graduation in UT a couple weeks back. He finished in December, but walked the stage in spring. Earned a BA in poli-sci. His grandfather has a PhD in the subject, and i did my BA and MA in related fields. If be lying if I said I wasn't proud that he's followed the family business.
Second oldest got married in March. His wife graduates from her undergrad nursing program this coming Friday, and he's got one more year in his Aerospace abs Mechanical Engineering programs. Must have got his smarts from his mom.
Youngest just got nominated for a county- wide theater award for her role in The Music Man... which was coincidentally the first musical I was in in high school. She's got one more year of high school, and was selected for a county- wide science program in "plant and environmental sciences." She's not sure what she wants to do yet. What she wants to do-- graphic design-- might be made obsolete by AI by the time she'd graduate school. But She's also interested in bio and veterinary science... and 100 other things.
If it sounds like I'm bragging, it's because Iam

They are bright kids!
Hung out with SF45ACP a couple days in UT. He's doing well and enjoying retirement. I've still got 5 years until I'm eligible, and probably 10 before it's feasible

My health has taken a turn for the better the past couple years. Had a heart attack a year ago December. One stent and countless hours in the gym later, I'm feeling pretty dang good. Hoping to live well into my 70s or 80s. That's both live WELL, into my 70s or 80s, and live well INTO my 70s or 80s. Two years ago I'd have been shocked to lived until 60. God has richly blessed me and performed miracles in my life!
