Just bought some Subsonic 9mm ammo, gettin ready for a YHM R9. I mean a 9mm will blow a lung clean out of your body don'tcha know. They are actually (almost) the Federal P9HST2 rounds. Think the Hydra-shock without the center post. What I got are called Hi-Shock. And they’re still a cataloged law enforcement round from what I can tell.

We live in turbulent times sir. A lot of things I may not be able to do anything about, but SOME preparations I can do. A sense of self preservation, defense, has been given to ALL Creatures GOD created. Mankind just happens to be the most “Creative” (destructive).

I need more Ramen soup. 😱😉
If anyone has gotten into the long term “Survival” food what are your honest opinions of them, perhaps brand wise? Also fast and nutritional value. I’ve bought some “samples” now and then but not really anything in bulk.

I’ve heard if all those but safecastle. I was wondering what Y’all thought of the tastiness of the different brands.

I tried Food for Patriots, My Patriot Supply, Mountain House and 3 others that I don’t remember the names of. Not familiar with Safecastle. Mountain House tasted the best. I used them all the time before I got married. They are great for people with wealth like yours. My Patriot Supply tasted second best. But I’m sure you are aware that taste is subjective. For you rednecks that means things taste differently to different people. Buy some samples and then buy what you and Patty like.

I hear ya about tastes. You ain’t ever tasted nothin like Patty’s possum and coon gumbo with squirrel and copperhead sausage balls cooked with home growd Southeast Missouri rice. Top that all off with some of her famous fried tater wedge cakes, yum yum.

Thanks for the information Ray. But Patty isn’t all that “adventurous” when it comes to experimenting with foods she isn’t used to.

Well Dawgs I warmed up the ole Shanks mares today.
Between having to walk around the Hospital to get my CT Scan done and the lab work, then go shopping with Patty in Hobby Hobby (yeah had to push her around in her wheelchair chair a little) and then stopping at a gun store for a couple minutes I got in 0.86 miles.
Then when we got home I walked around our neighborhood for 23 minutes amassing a total of 1 Mile. So today all I all I did 1.8 miles. So my phone is telling me that I have averaged 1.4 miles a day from June 20-26. I’m hoping to up that average tomorrow.
If I have it figured out right, if I walk every street in our area south of the highway I’ll have done about 2 miles. Now that does include backtracking down one street I think. I’ll try and check it out again tomorrow if I feel up to that far at one time. My back still bothers me a little but not as much as it did in the beginning. Perhaps the walking is helping my posture or strengthening my back some. Plus I’ve founding that walking for just 30-40 minutes is easier to handle if I drink about 500-750ml of water .
I’m TRYING to breath I. Through my nose and out through my mouth. What I’ve done the last couple days is when my mouth starts feeling dry I take a couple good swigs of water. Yesterday it was 92 degrees when I walked and 80% humidity. IT WAS HOT AND MUGGY.
Oh I forgot, I walked 2 miles Yesterday in 2 circuits.

Thanks for the information Ray. But Patty isn’t all that “adventurous” when it comes to experimenting with foods she isn’t used to. Are you saying that you will wait until you are in an emergency situation before you see if Patty likes the food? That does not seem like a good plan.
