Morning Yard!

Glad to see you back on your feet Ray! Literally and figuratively.

I didn't start the chicken coop project. I think I'll wait until my sister in law's (plural) visit next week. I did go on my ATV trip. That was probably my favorite all time ride ever. Absolutely beautiful. But it definitely wasn't a beginner's trail. Parts of it were just plain rough and technical. Both our rigs sustained at least a little damage. I don't think I would have been able to make it on my old ATV tires so I'm glad I replaced them. I was so sore when I got home, I could barely walk. That last 10 miles (out of 40) was brutal.

Parts of the trails really reminded me of some of the trails on our old farm in the Ozarks. If you dropped them in the Rocky Mountains.

Our family Farm was close to a little town called Moko in Arkansas. Just South of West Plains Mo.

Our town is about 1300 people. Big enough to have some services. A small supermarket (maybe about 25k sq ft)! MC D’s, Subway, Dollar General market and a couple quik shops/gas stations and an an ambulance station manned 24/7.
Closest “City”, about 40K is a half hour away with 2 hospitals and a lot more available services if one kind or another.
This is close enough to “civilization” for me.

Randy, you're living in the "big time" . smile

We live four miles outside a town than claims 226 people and NO services, not even a Post Office or bar, let alone a gas station. I love it. wink

At times I think I would like our nearest neighbor to be 4-5 miles away, no body to bother us. At other times I am glad we do live in a small town. Specially with patty’s medical problems. Our EMS Station is less than a half mile from us and we have only had one incident where they were unable to get here within 10 minutes.

It was 95 here today and the “shower” we got the other day hasn’t really helped. We could use a good slow steady rain here.
