Good afternoon Yard. We are getting ready for the rough weather later today ; strong storms and all types of severe weather possible.
On a different note, did everyone see Jerry's latest offering ? Nice looking Viking look dagger.

Well, using a heat gun I got my Blackthorn hiking staff pretty straight. Well as straight as the slight dogsleg bend will allow. It is a lot straighter now and I am happy. Got the double bow out of the blackthorn cane as well. All in all, a nice couple of days.

Well it’s a good thing I walk with a big stick. I turned around at church tonight to say hi to someone and my back decided to see if I could survive a lightening attack (well that’s what it felt like). If I wouldn’t have had my stick “Big Bubba” (catchy name ya), I would have face planted on the floor. Luckily Bubba kept me upright. He’s such a pal.

When I walk around much I use an old shovel handle myself. Last year it helped me get up after slipping and falling on ice.

I have a couple really nice canes that I use sometimes now. But I’ve found out I’m much better off using at least a 50 inch “stick”, preferably one 55 inches up to 5 feet. That way if I have to catch myself I don’t have to bend over to accommodate the shorter length cane and thereby am able to remain more upright.

Good afternoon Yard. Even though I have an old Cold Steel sword cane and a cane from the VA I still like my old shovel handle. ; it's thick and strong .

I agree Tom. That’s another reason I prefer my “Extended length” Blachthorn Shillelagh. He”s 52 inches tall and weighs right at 2 pounds. He’s a hefty boy, but like the legendary Timex, he Takes a Licking and keeps on Stickin.

Good afternoon Yard. Another beautiful day out there and tomorrow is supposed to be the same, so I guess I will mow again tomorrow. The grass is sure loving all the rain. ;(

Evening Yard!
I broke down and mowed today. I couldn't take the uneven shaggy look on the lawn. LOL, I hate doing it this early since I will have to do it every week, The End of May is usually the average time I stat here. Witht he drought I may lose my back lot lawn.

G'Evening Yard! A little rain by me so I took the time to stop in and see the SY folks. Heading back out to feed the my dogs here before they start chewing on the lawn furniture.
