I have to confess I was the seller of that knie. I buddy asked me to order him one and then backed out when they got here so I put it out. I had no Idea it was gonna go for that price. Also there was no shill bidding or BS going on. I just put it out trying to cover the money my buddy stiffed me on. Guess I can have some money for the next release knife with the extra I made.

Shilling would definately be unethical. I may have been a victim of it though - although I never go too high.
I once had the hight bid on an Ontario RAT3 LE at like $50 for 5 days. I was outbid on the last day of the auction, and I battled it out up to like $100 and then quit. Either a Shill or someone else who knew what it was and what it was worth!

FYI I also sold a 14 inch remington 870 police parkerized barrel with rifle sights for around $500.00 on Ebay so you just never know what people are willing to pay.

I have seen strange things on eprey.....a howling rat went for near the same price once before....Camp Tramps for 350 and then a Tan on Tan for about 156....some people need things right away....no matter the cost.
It is just a personal thing, but I hate when sellers hide the bidders names....it just seems shady so they can cover up shill bids and the like.
I personally don't participate in those auctions.

I sometimes use the "buy it now" function, but I rarely bid unless I see something really cheap - and I've never won anything off of a bid.
