I am sure someone suggested "pitbull" already. So far my fave names are the Growler which has a lot going for it. Bullpup is also good and in the I caan't belive I did not think of that section the Scrapper 5LE.
Busse kin knives often have some pretty awfull names. I was not a big fan of the Hook Guard and Yard Guard names as the were confusing and a bit unweildy. The knives were awesome though and I woukld much rather a bad name and a good knife than the other way round.
My guess as far as a yard release after the Blade Show would be yes but it will be a CG version. That makes the Blade version special while still letting the home dogs get a great knife. It also would work with the most bang for the buck ethos Dan likes.

Ok, how about Rommel (the desert fox) after the German general in WWII. That is also the name of my Greman Shepherd.

I think that some of the names given to knives are ridiculous. Howling Rat Little Mischief, give me a break. Badger Attack TAC is almost as bad. The new knife is a 5" combat/utility knife. It is made by Scrap Yard Knife Company, who made the Street Scrapper 4 and the Scrapper 6, so Scrapper 5 LE would have some meaning. Some of the SY knives use dog themes, like Dog Father and Dumpster Mutt. In that tradition, since it is a shorter nosed S6, maybe Bull Dog. Or since it is the same type of knife as the Badger Attack, maybe Attack Dog. Then we have the "Yard" knives, the Yard Guard and Yard Hook. It could be the Yard Dog. Whatever is gets named, I sincerely hope this knife is released in a standard or "combat" grade later. It is just too right not to be in the regular lineup.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
