Bruce, just saw you drank Newcastle Brown Ale (Newky Brown to all in the know!) great beer but it's got to be cold and drunk from the bottle! NEVER put it in a glass, it really tastes different!!

My favorite British beer when I lived there in 1969 was a Tolly Cobold "Cobnut", a nut brown ale. I don't think that brewery is still around. I like Old Peculiar and Bass Ale, too. The ordinary draft pub bitter is good, too.
