This is a tease.
So I just got my SS4's on Wednesday night.
Yesterday I went to Lowes on my lunch break to get some Jasco paint and epoxy remover.
After work I took my designated beater and hacked on some tree roots for a while.
There was no damage at all.
I managed to open a large crack in one root but I was unable to create a tip pop out because I couldn't get good leverage without kneeling which I didn't want to do because it was a little too dark to see the ground.
When that was done I applied the stripper.
Now I have a naked SS4.
I call her the Street Walker because she's sexy and built for action but she's pock marked.
I tried sanding with good results on the ground area but the unground areas have pretty deep Infi dimples and 20 minutes of sanding had little effect.
This is my first experiment with stripping Infi. I'm sure I will be able to remove the pock marks with enough time but I think the laser engraving will not survive the process.
Now for the tease. I couldn't find my camera.
I will have pictures soon but not today, sorry.
I'm also going to take a dremel to the handle to see if I can make it a bit more comfortable for me. It doesn't need it but if it turns out well it will make it even more user friendly.
Arf arf arf... That's my other dog impression.

If I get my order I plan to do something very similar. I think that you measure the time to sand off dimples in hours not minutes however <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hmmmmm, a naked dog. Well, if you like it, good for you. I love my SS4 just the way he is. I LOVE the logo.

lol.. yeah let's see pics when you're done.
On Busse's satin Infi's.. do they put any kind of "clear coating" at all? or is it just bare metal?

I thought of doing that but I will wait for the S7 version. The S7 is going to be one heck of a deal so if you want to strip it or remove the RES C and put on elk scales you won't have to worry about damaging as expensive and somewhat rare knife. Now lets see some pics iof the work in progress sa well as the finished product.

Keep in mind that the S7 version will not be as rust resistant as the INFI version. I can't wait to get mine nekkid!
