I recieved my SS4 today. But it did not have a polished spine nor did it have INFI etched onto the blade. Is this how the second batch came? Other than that it is an awesome blade but I want to make sure I have the INFI version.

The second batch has not shipped yet. Not trying to be smart, but are you sure you have a SS4, and not a Scrapper 6?

If it has a mudder handle it is probably a 4 if not a 6.

Looks like you got the prototype. Before they decided on new logo and ground spine. A keeper for sure!!! Trade it for 2 standard SS4!!!

I just checked with the shop and they shipped you the proto type/picture knife. Nothing is safe in the scrapyard. That was supposed to be my knife. So you have a very unique version. Please check the knife because it most likely is not fully sharpened. I would be more than happy to replace it. Your call.

I will ship this baby back without hesitation. If it was me who made the mistake and sent out the protoknife I would either let him keep it if that is what he wanted or send him some other swag with his replacment for being a good sport. Not a free bowie just a shirt or hat or hoodie or something. I have been really impresed with the gentlemanly way people here act
like in this case or Dennis letting others have his multiple orders so everyone can get a taste of the infi.

On that note: since my SS4 does not have the polished spine or INFI logo how will it look different from the regular line of SS4s. Will the regular SS4s be completely sterile or will the logo look different? Interesting.

The regular SS4 will be sterile. I would print out this thread to keep with the knife as proof that it is the proto type and is made of INFI.
