How cool would it be if the Dog Father had its own specialized logo? I thought it'd be cool, so I have a VERY rough proof-of-concept done (in Paint), but I don't have a site so I can't post photos. If anyone can post it for me, I'd be greatful, but in case I can't find a host, it's basically taking the Godfather logo and editing it a bit.

I don't have a site so I can't post photos. You can quickly set up a free account at photobucket. It's the site most of us use.

Excellent, the picture shows up. So like I said, it's a rough picture, but I think it could be a cool to have a logo for such a special, non-standard release.

It would have to be different enough that they wouldn't get sued for trademark infringement. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing, but it was just one idea that popped into my head, so I thought, why not get the ideas flowing?
More specifically, the LE should have a logo, so why not change the dog part of the logo to be a little different... maybe have a cigar or something?
Edit: Of course, if production of the LE has already started, or if the logo would result in delay, the idea can be "scrapped" entirely. That's why I called the thread "Wishful thinking." <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

I wonder if they will have to contact Snoop Doggy Dogg to use the name of his second album "The Doggfather"? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

It's a nice idea, but the Scrap Yard logo suits me just fine - it's a GREAT logo! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Tom

If you made the puppet 'handle' into a knife shape, that'd be cool..

jaislandboy: thanks!
Private Klink and TKC: yeah, don't get me wrong, i LOVE the scrapyard logo (and the INFI one even more), but i thought an addition or mod to the logo to represent how special the bowie is, it'd be a plus.
Paul the Brit': ha ha, yeah, the picture i linked is actually very poorly trying to do that. I blacked out the cross of the puppet handle and lenghtened one end by a little to represent the blade, and added a little bump on the other side to represent the handle. like i said, very rough and only a proof-of-concept.
anyhoo, this was just fun to think about for me; hope you guys have as much fun thinking about scrapyard knives!

Snoop seems like a nice enough guy snd him a dogfather bowie and he would proably be thrilled. It is not like you are trying to make money off his work or anything and people are not going to confuse the bowie for one of his products. If Suge Knight owns the rights then you might have a problem. He is a scary dude and former linebacker for the Raiders who held Vannila Ice off a balcony to encourage him to sign a deal with Death Row records.
