I have been getting into antique knives recently and have even sold off a couple of Scrapyard knives to pay for a WW2 FS dagger.
These are some photos of my trip to the local museum here in Prince Albert saskatchawan. For a small museum it has a really good selection of knives and guns
both from the Fur Trade era and WW1 and WW2. This region is steeped in history and pretty much everything is from the immediate area or local vet bring backs.
This first pic is the 2 knives which are my favourites in the collection and were the Dogfathers of the fur trade era the iconic Hudson bay knife.

The stunner in this photo is the war club but the pre white man war hawk is also very cool.

Tis was Big Bear's yellowboy carbine. It has history both for canadians and americans as he was second in command and a excellent war cheif in the Reil Rebellion.
That was our local indian war. After the rebellion he fled to the US and became
a performer in Buffalo Bills Wild West Show with this rifle.
Some more wild west rifles. That Henry is so freakin awesome.

WW1 now and some early body armour and a german spike helmet. The helmet is tiny the kraut must have been 5 feet tall.

WW2 now and the dagger of a high ranking SS officer.

On the allied side we have the Enfield .38 revolver and some classic brass knuks.

This awesome museum is dyeing a slow death from lack of interest. The last curator is now in a home. Some of the items are mislabeled like this Enfield which is a later model than the SMLE it says on the sign. It has also been sporterized but it could have been done during the war for accuracy. This would get you in serious trouble in the British army.

The other rifle is a commercial Ross, the finest rifle of it's day. It was used by the Canadians in WW1 and jammed horribly killing thosands due to fine
precision parts and the wrong ammo. It was soon replaced with the SMLE
WW2 Jungle knife also very scrapyard like.
