I am not very big on skeleton knives. They never seem to feel comfortable in my hand and I don't care for things hanging from my neck.

.

the shaker is not bad

A dull knife will get you hurt but a sharp knife will keep you from getting hurt.

I don't mind the shaker too much. And it's tempting. However, the dispenser is...well...um...unique.

I am not sure the ring on the dispenser would be comfortable to hold and stab with. I like the shaker a lot!

D2 would be a great choice. The Yard Hook did not go over so well as an EDC at work so I am still searching. The Fehrman is nice. Light fixed blades have many positives over folders for hiking.

Yep. And I, for one, and not convinced that INFI necessarily holds an edge over all other steels for creating light fixed blades, particularly for the premium INFI commands.

After the Dispenser is released, I think it would be really cool to have a skeletonized neck knife slice-a-thon. I can think of several knives I'd invite to join in:

Scotch Dispenser
Fehrman Thru Hiker
Becker Necker
Arclite D2
Buck Mayo Kaala

I'm sure you guys can come up with some other candidates.

We could start by having them slice through some 1/4" or 1/2" thick hemp rope to judge their edge-holding capabilities and ergonomics. Then we could give them the Paul the Brit' warm salt-water soak to see how resistant they are to corrosion. By that time we should have a pretty good idea of how they stack up to one another and which of them represents the best bang-for-the-buck.

I like the sound of that. I too would love to see the results.

Would a Rat Shaker and a TOPS Sneaky Pete Mini fit into that test?

I've got some other TOPS neck size knives that are 1095, it'd be cool to see how they stand up against some of those other steels too... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
