Ok guys i posted this at another forums and so far im not getting any replys. I hope the pack can help me out here.

Ok i want to add a sling to my shottie. The only thing is i don't want to attach the sling to the end of the choke tube cap. If i do that then i wont be able to use the bayo lug.

Now i noitced there is a hole at the back of the bayo lug. Its threaded and looks like it can except a stud to allow a swivel.

Does any1 know where i can get this stud? ( not sure what its called )

Ive been searching for hours now with no luck. I know the 590A1 models come with it already but not the reg 590.

That hole...is for a sling stud, you should be able to order one from Mossberg....unless, you can find a parkerized one somewhere else. If you don't care about the finish a standard blued version, with the machine threads should fit.

When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

Wow im soo happy and excited that i just had to share this with every1 in the yard.

I just picked up my new Mossberg 590. It was on sale for $319.00 at Big 5 ( local westcoast sporting goods store )

I did alot of reading and homework on this and for the price and the features this gun will server me well. I picked it up for HD and just in cause zombies ever attack =) LOL.

I plan on getting either a Knoxx CompStock or Copstock ( pistol grip version with drop down wire butt )

Still not sure what type of bayo to get. What do u guys recommend?
Ontario M9 bayo maybe?

Please give me some input if possible. All replys are greatly appricated.

As for the AR build , That is going ok still saving money up but for now its on the back burner.

Ok here is an update like i promissed. I woke up from my nap just in time to meet the ups man. He had brought me my new Knoxx CopStock for my mossy.

Talk about ripping that box apart. It sucked cause i found out i need a shocket rench and a extender to remove the factory buttstock and i also need some hex renches.

I quickly jumped in the car and drove to Wal-Mart to pick those up.

It installed realy easy in just 5 mins or so. It fits great and i realy like the look of it. Its way more compact and i can move around the house with it very quickly.

Well enough talking here are the pics.

Nice looking setup there. Let us know how the stock shoots. Some of the toughest training I have done was in shotgun courses. One time my face swelled up twice the size as normal from getting beat on my the buttstock after 250 rounds of bird, buck and slug. I have a great deal of respect for shotties. Sustained firing with them can be brutal.

I was under the impression, that pistol gripped weapons weren't legal in California???? did something change??

Pistol grip or pistol grip with folding stock is only illegal on semi-auto shotguns. There is no law against having either of those on a pumpaction.

Looks like you are ready for the end time with that shotgun, KP. Nice.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I'm looking for a folding stock for my 500A. The pistol that's on there now is not so good for bear defence.

I plan to take it out to the range either friday or saturday. Ill do more shooting when my friend gets his mossy 500 on the 16th.

He fell in love with mossberg when he fired my 590 lastnight. Yea we kinda ran out of fireworks and desided to pop off a few shells of bird shot.

Ill have a rang report soon and a review on how good it reduces recoil.

I like the looks of that bad boy.
Supposidly, they really help with the recoil.

Currently, my 590 has a pistol grip on it. I have a top folder, but have never been 100% happy with it.

Nice, never seen a bayonet on a shotgun if that's what you ment. It would be cool

Then you must not read all the threads here. They used shotguns with bayonets on them in WW1. They’re called “trench shotguns”.

Im willing to pay anywhere from 100 usd to 150 usd.

Nice looking shotgun.

I'd use the M7 bayonet......only because I'm cheap and it'll stick people just the same.

I agree. An M9 isn’t worth the price. You already have a good knife, all you need is something to stab with to keep people back. The one you see in my pic cost $15 at a gunshow. Save the extra cash for more Dogs.

I have heard that 00 buck kicks like a mule. Im gonna be honnest i have never shot a shottie before.

Nah, it’s not bad. Just hold it tight. Unlike how we had a laugh letting one of our friends shoot one for the first time…we told him to hold it a couple inches from his shoulder. Haha. He still remembers it. I’ve shot plenty of times one handed with 3” mag slugs, so it’s not too unbearable.

The only real advantages slugs offer are ranger over buck shot.

And penetration. Sometimes bad guys wear kevlar.

I'm hoping to score a decent imaging program so I can post some pics of my stuff. I'd love to post a pics on my boomstick. Yes, I really call my shotgun that. Right now all my images are huge and it'd be rude on my part to post them.

I use MS Paint to shrink mine. CTRL W

Knife party, Nice Gun, I love big-5 too.

I like Big 5 too, but Academy is better.
